What if “going to church” meant gathering with people who love you entirely – people you love just as much – and encountering the love of God together?
Finding kindred community is one of the ways we experience God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.* This type of community has a natural chemistry (ya know.. people you “click” with) and an intentional commitment to be faithful to one another. It’s in this kindred circle of people where we all become the love of God for one another.
Spend some time reflecting on the lyrics to one of our worship songs Blessed Be the Tie That Binds or listening to the music.
After you’ve meditated on those lyrics, I encourage you to pray and consider who you “click” with and invite them to join you in faithfully showing up to God and to one another.
Start by getting together at 10am Sunday for worship www.monroefmc.com/sunday and hang out for prayer, safe and honest conversation, and of course some delicious food.
Sharing food is sacramental, but it’s much more about the flavor and the filling of bellies…it’s about the fellowship and our presence to one another. That’s how Jesus showed up to his disciples, too, in the breaking of bread.
Let’s break bread with our people Sunday 🍞
